Sara Kveum was born in Bellevue, Washington but grew up mostly in Hoonah, a small village in SE Alaska. Sara graduated from Hoonah HS. She traveled extensively in Europe and got to see what accessibility was like. She worked for REACH Inc. as an administrative assistant for 8 years pre-covid. Sara uses a wheelchair and technology to be more independent along with the assistance of Hattie, her four-legged support system. Sara has been an advocate for over 15 years including serving on the Governor’s Council and participating in many Key Campaigns. Sara is a graduate of the 2016 Alaska Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities.
